The staff of Pantang Hospital have embarked on “Operation run for your life” protest following what they say is a failure on the part of employers to construct a fence wall around the facility.
They say they are not safe and calls to address their safety concerns have fallen on deaf ears.
According to the workers who had red scarves on their heads and hands, the safety of the staff and patients cannot be guaranteed.
They, therefore, took to the street on Monday with inscriptions on ply cards amid shouting and noise making to register their grievances.
'#Mr President act now', 'No protection No work', 'Nti mental health Dab3n?', 'We can’t afford life lost', among others were the inscriptions on the cards they displayed.
Other placards quizzed, "Madina Lankwantanang Assembly, how long are you going to continue to be bought at the expenses of the future generation?."
One of the demonstrators said questioned, "why, do you want us to die in our line of duty?"
