Black Stars defender, John Paintsil has been named Footballer of the Year Award by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).
The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Saturday night honoured worthy Sports men and women for the year, 2008.
Paintsil, who plays for Fulham in the English premiership, beat off competition from Ghanaian internationals, Sulley Muntari and Eric Bekoe.
