Black Stars defender John Paintsil admits the team must beat Latvia to restore confidence after their trouncing at the hands of Holland in midweek.
The Stars will complete their pre-tournament preparations with a final friendly match against Latvia at the magnificent Stadium MK in Milton Keynes and Paintsil says the only way the players can regain their confidence is to win well.
"The Holland game was a big reality check. It reminded us we need to work even harder than we are doing now," Paintsil told KickOffGhana.com.
"I can understand why people in Ghana are unhappy. On Saturday we need to win to prove to them that we are ready but it is even more important for us to restore our own self confidence."
