Berekum Chelsea striker Kofi Owusu's remarkable campaign has been rewarded with the First Capital Plus Player of the Month Award for July.
The diminutive forward has not looked back since his release by former FCPPL champions Aduana Stars prior to the start of the season.
Owusu was in unstoppable form during the month as he led the line for Chelsea with 3 goals and two man-of-the-match awards in four games.
He bagged a brace in Berekum Chelsea's record 3-0 win over defending champions Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium. Owusu also scored the only goal in their 1-2 defeat at Bechem United where he was adjudged Man of the Match.
He joins previous winners Gilbert Fiamenyo (January), Noah Martey (February), Nathaniel Asamoah (March), Bernard Ofori (May) and Zakaria Mumuni (June).
Fabin tops peers
Inter Allies coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, has also been announced as the First Capital Plus Premier League Manager of the Month for July after overseeing Inter Allies to points from four games.
The Eleven Is To One secured two home wins - against Great Olympics (1-0) and Sekondi Hasaacas (2-0), another 2-0 victory away to B.A United before losing narrowly in the trip to Aduana Stars during the month.
Fabin joins coaches like Kwabena Ameyaw, John Killa, Jimmy Kobblah and Anthony Kommeh to win the award so far this season.
