President-elect John Mahama has acknowledged the severe economic challenges confronting Ghana and the considerable effort required to restore stability and prosperity.
Speaking during a thanksgiving service held at the Assemblies of God Church in Accra on Sunday, Mr Mahama underscored the gravity of the nation’s economic crisis, committing himself to lead efforts to address the situation.
He noted the demanding nature of the task ahead but assured Ghanaians of his determination to confront these challenges decisively.
“Our country remains in a dire economic crisis, and it will require significant work to turn things around. Restoring economic prosperity will not be easy, but I pray that the God who has entrusted me with this responsibility will grant me the strength and wisdom to meet it head-on,” Mahama said.
The President-elect also highlighted the importance of discernment in leadership, expressing his desire for divine guidance in assembling a team capable of serving the nation effectively.
“I pray for wisdom and discernment to select the right individuals to work in the best interest of the people of Ghana,” he stated.
Mr Mahama concluded with an expression of faith in Ghana’s resilience and divine favour, assuring citizens that the nation will rise above its current difficulties. “
God’s favour remains upon our beloved Ghana, and I am confident that He will not abandon us,” he affirmed.
