Energy Minister and Member of Parliament for Manhyia in the Ashanti Region, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh on Sunday 9th June, 2024 joined the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to the durbar of the Ga State held in honour of His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The event follows the Ga Mantse’s recent participation in the 25th anniversary celebration of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s ascension to the Golden Stool, as well as his 74th birthday celebration.
The reciprocal visit is a testament to the strong bond of affection between the two traditional leaders.

The Energy Minister, who had earlier on Friday, June 7, 2024, paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse and reiterated the need for enhanced cordial relations among Ghanaian ethnic groups which according to him forms the foundation for progress and development in the country.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, demonstrated his commitment to education by donating GH₵500,000 to the Ga Education Fund.
