The Board of Directors of Asante Kotoko led by Paul Adu Gyamfi have asked General Manager Opoku Nti to stay on till the end of the season despite the expiration of his contract.
The former player of the club replaced Dr KK Sarpong after the former Chief Executive stepped down in 2013.
In the interim, he has been told to stay on and supervise the affairs of the team till end of the current Premier league season but put together his handing over notes.
He must write formally to accept their decision of overseeing the activities of the club as proposed.
As thing stand, Opoku Nti has been told not to contract out or sign any player without reference to the board.
The highest point of Opoku Nti’s reign was the league and cup double triumph for Kotoko in the 2014 season.
