I have come to realise that we did not come to this world with nothing.
Each one of us came to this world for a reason and a purpose. With different gifting.
God gave us this gift so it will be a benefit to us and human kind in general.
In Proverbs. 18:16, the Bible says "A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great."
Meaning, our gifts have been given to us to lead us into greatness.
I know of a child who was timid, because of that, she did not perform well in school academically, but with time, it was realised she was good at craft works. She has never learned how to sew, she did not even know how to use a sewing machine.
She was able to do alterations on dresses. She will just observe a craft work and then create same and even make it better.
Her parents realised it and have decided she will go and do fashion in the university. She will not come out of school and go struggle to find a job.
This is her gift, why not train her into it so she will master in that profession. She can pick up additional responsibilities like learning business management so that she can own her own business and employ others, instead of her being employed by others, who may abuse her.
It is a great advantage, if you recognise your children's gifts early in life to train them along that line.
I know there are courses in this part of our world that seem unimportant, because truly, it looks like we don't have enabling environment for them, but the question is, didn't God know before giving them the gift?
Do we want to say God made a mistake in giving you that gift in this part of our world?
No gift of God will ever go waste, He is God and He knows what everyone of us will become, if we make good use of our gifts.
Our gifts are that which will make us to be great people, we should never look down on them.
God is God, and He knows the end from the beginning. He takes what is nothing and makes it great.
The onus lies on us as parents to lead our children to achieve maximum benefit of the blessing God has imbedded in them.
