Oman FM, an Accra-based private radio station on Monday gathered Christians from all walks of life together to interact and share ideas as part of celebrations marking Jesus’ resurrection.
Mr Kwabena Kwakye, Director of the station, told the Ghana News Agency that the event would be held annually as a platform to foster unity among Christians.
He said it had become imperative to engage Christians and non-Christian communities under one umbrella to participate in fun games and other sporting activities in the wake of increasing moral decadence, especially among the youth during festive occasions.
The event will also feature games such as sack race, ludo, ampe and oware.
Mr Kwakye said the celebration would be crowned with a gospel concert to feature artistes such as ‘No Tribe’ and ‘Andy Frimpong-Manso’.
Bishop Bright Adofoh of the Peace Chapel recognized the need for Christians to participate in such entertaining programmes to ease stress and pressures of the time.
He said apart from providing entertainment, the fun games would also improve the quality of health of the individuals, as well as serve as a platform for socialization.
