Okyeame Kwame has reiterated his stance on the performance of the younger generation of rappers in Ghana.
He believes that in as much as a lot of the new crop of rappers are doing great, he will always go for Amerado and Lyrical Joe as his top young MCs.
Speaking to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, he said "Flowking Stone and EL are my favourite Ghanaian rappers. When I hear their rap, something dey do me but for the new crop of MCs, rappers that really shake my bones, I will say that Amerado and Lyrical Joe."
According to Okyeame, Amerado and Lyrical Joe are very conceptual, they have style, skill, cadence, energy and rhythm.
This comes a year after Okyeame told Graphic Showbiz that the younger crop of rappers in Ghana were better than the older generation.
“For me, I don’t think there should be a debate or any questions raised on this. The young ones are completely better than us and that is the whole essence of evolution.
In the interview, he cited as Amerado and Lyrical Joe as some of the younger rappers who tower over him when it comes to rap delivery.
For over two decades, Okyeame Kwame has distinguished himself as one of the most skillful rappers the country has ever had.
He is admired for his rich lyrical content, fluidity, and style.
