The office of the Deputy Minister of Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has been razed by fire, destroying properties running into several millions of cedis
The cause of the fire cannot immediately be ascertained, but the substantive Information Minister Zita Okaikwei told Joy News reporter, Elvis Adjetey, she suspects an electrical fault.
According to her, the lights had been off when they left the office for a meeting around 2:00 pm Tuesday and suspects the fire was triggered immediately power was restored.
She had a call informing her of the fire and quickly returned to the office.
But for the timely intervention of the fire service, the Minister, said the fire would have wrecked total havoc.
She was however convinced everything in the office of her deputy had been destroyed.
