Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Sami Khedira has announced that he is joining Juventus.
The 28-year-old has agreed a four-year contract at the Serie A champions. The Germany international's contract expires at the end of June and he had already confirmed he would not sign an extension at the Bernabeu.
He will officially become a Juventus player on July 1st when he completes his free transfer from Real, where he has won La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.
The German is Juventus's second major signing of the summer after Paulo Dybala completed a £23.5m move last week from Palermo.
The World Cup winner, who has been at Madrid since leaving Stuttgart in 2010, had been linked with a host of top European clubs and was the subject of intense media speculation during last summer, with reports suggesting that a switch to Arsenal was on the horizon.
That proved not to be the case, however, with Khedira instead moving to a side who have won four consecutive Italian championships and made it to the Champions League final this year.
Khedira, who is normally deployed in front of the defence as a ball-winning midfielder, is able to cover a lot of ground while also possessing excellent passing and shooting ability and great vision of the game," Juve said.
"Bianconeri boss Massimiliano Allegri is set to add a player of class, quality and international experience to his ranks, ready to enrich one of the strongest midfields in world football."
