Fast-rising Ghanaian musician NYA has released her debut single, Choke.
This project comes ahead of her upcoming EP, ‘AltéNOVA’ which drops in February 2022.
The EP, however, will be a prelude to a full album dubbed Stella.
With all these in place, critics believe NYA has her eyes set on the prize.
She has a unique way of blending elements of her Africanicity with current urban trends.
Born Nana Ama Antwiwaa Nsafoah, the singer’s passion for music was by artistes such as Toni Braxton, SWV, Erykah Badu, Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Rihanna, D'Angelo, Mary J. Blige, Michael Jackson and Musiq Soulchild.
In Africa, she looks up to Kojo Antwi, Ofori Amponsah, Wizkid and Kofi B among others.
Her new single, Choke, was produced by ZODVIC.
On the sidelines, Nya is currently working with popular female artists such as Efya, Amaarae, among others on 'Stella'.
