The National Service Authority (NSA) has released PIN codes for 121,754 prospective national service personnel for the 2026/2027 National Service Year.

The release marks the opening of the registration process for eligible graduates required to undertake national service under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119).

Online registration began on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and will close on Wednesday, August 26.

The Authority has urged all eligible prospective personnel to complete their registration within the stipulated period to avoid delays in deployment.

The NSA said tertiary institutions submitted a total of 144,023 prospective personnel for consideration.

Of that number, 122,712 were approved, with records created for 121,754 unique persons.

However, 958 approved submissions have not been promoted pending further verification, while another 21,311 submissions were rejected pending further identity verification.

The Authority said the 121,754 PIN codes released represent applicants whose submissions successfully passed the requisite validation and verification processes.

The remaining 22,269 submissions have been withheld pending the outcome of further checks.

Prospective personnel with PIN codes are required to access the NSA's registration portal, activate their PIN codes and complete the online enrolment process.

A registration fee is also required to activate the PIN code before applicants can access the enrolment platform. Payment is to be made via Mobile Money across all networks.

The NSA said it has introduced enhanced security measures to strengthen the integrity of the registration process and prevent fraudulent enrolments.

These include facial biometric verification against Ghana Card records held by the National Identification Authority (NIA).

Applicants must also provide a valid GhanaPost GPS address, which the Authority says will support accurate deployment and proximity-based postings.

Real-time verification mechanisms have also been integrated into the registration platform to improve data accuracy.

The NSA has further reminded tertiary institutions whose accreditation status remains unresolved to engage the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to regularise their status.

The Authority said it would continue processing eligible graduates from such institutions once GTEC confirms their accreditation.

Prospective personnel requiring assistance have been directed to use the support channels provided on the NSA registration portal.
