The Greater Accra Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Madam Vidah Dugbatey is angry at President Kufuor’s directive to minister-aspirants to resign.
Speaking to Joy News, Madam Dugbatey said the President has breached the party’s constitution with his directive.
“I feel very bad because all these ministers they were together before we had the government. I don’t think the president can sack them all of a sudden. I feel very bad. I thought when these people file their nominations then you would have the chance to have them to leave the ministerial position.”
Madam Dugbatey pointed out: “Some of us have worked very hard for this party and it is some of these ministers who are helping us small small…and you are asking them to go now, it is very unfair. At least the president should consult the party because it is the party which forms government.”
