The Tertiary Education Students Confederacy of the University of Cape Coast is calling for the reinstatement of the former Road Transport Minister, Dr. Richard Anane.
The call follows an Accra Fast Track Court's ruling that quashed CHRAJ's adverse findings against Dr. Anane over which he resigned.
TESCON President, Armstrong Essah made the call in an interview with Radio VALCO in Cape Coast.
TESCON was among groups that criticised the CHRAJ ruling and recommendations to President Kufuor to dismiss Dr. Anane, calling the decision a harsh one on the Minister.
Mr. Essah said the High Court’s ruling proves that the rule of law is on course in the country and for TESCON what the President should do immediately is to reinstate Dr. Anane at least for his competence and hard work while in office.
“If he is reinstated, TESCON will be very happy and it’s a proof to the whole world that he has not been faulted, he has been exonerated on the two issues. For the fact that he is a hard working, honourable man who when he was the minister diligently performed his duties TESCON will be ok if the government or the President reinstate him.”
Armstrong Essah further pleaded with the public not to lambaste CHRAJ for its earlier decision, saying that the Commission is a human institution and therefore fallible.
