The NPP-Seoul branch also commended her for her stellar performance at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
“By her exceptional leadership, a selfless commitment of her time, personal resources and openly engaging our compatriots (Ghanaian churches, Associations, Unions, Spare parts dealers, Business people, students, etc.) to not panic but rather follow the preventive measures strictly, mobilized data of all stranded Ghanaians for an eventual evacuation flight to Ghana…” they said among other glowing praise showered on her.
They commended the President for his choice and promised to fully support his re-election come December 7.
Below is the full letter;
Dear President Akufo-Addo,
Your Excellency, the New Patriotic Party branch and the general Ghanaian community in South Korea would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to you, Nana Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, for appointing Mrs Difie Agyarko Kusi; a very proactive personality and the most receptive ambassador to Seoul ever.
We are overly satisfied and pleased to have such a wonderful woman here in Korea, hence our letter of testimony to you, Mr President. This, premised on the following:
- Before Ambassador Difie Agyarko Kusi's appointment to Seoul, the general Ghanaian community's perception and reliance on the Embassy, were not encouraging the viz-a-viz irregular flow of communication to the Ghanaian community but, thankfully, the reverse happened under her tenure.
- By her exceptional example, the Ghanaian community witnessed a series of Ghanaian embassy cultural events & exhibitions that rekindled our sense of pride as a people. We began to experience a new Ghana Embassy in Seoul. Ghanaians in Korea can now freely reach out to the embassy warmly unlike the previous years.
- While we understand the busy nature of most ambassadors usually rendering them to lose touch with the Ghanaian community, but she portrayed to us, that, an ambassador ought to be super receptive to the people's call at all times despite tight schedules; she proved that contemporary ambassadors can utilize the title of His or Her Excellency to rather meet the diaspora's welfare need and pave easy access to the embassy services at all times.
- Under H.E. Difie Agyarko's tenure, we have also witnessed the soaring image of the Ghanaian community under her leadership in Seoul, Ghana stood tall amongst other African countries in Korea; hence, no surprise to see her rise distinctively amongst her fellow Ambassadors in Seoul leading to numerous awards bestowed on her, the Ghanaian community in Korea observed the Korea local media broadcast news with pride. The Seoul City magazine also bestowed the 2018 Best Ambassador Award upon H.E. (Mrs.) Difie Agyarko Kusi in recognition of her excellent activities & dedication as Ghana's top envoy in terms of being at the forefront of strengthening bilateral exchange cooperation and boosting Ghana's image.
- During the evacuation of stranded Ghanaians due to the coronavirus outbreak in Korea, we received daily communication updates, moral support, and cooperation from the madam ambassador. By her exceptional leadership, a selfless commitment of her time, personal resources and openly engaging our compatriots (Ghanaian churches, Associations, Unions, Spare parts dealers, Business people, students, etc.) to not panic but rather follow the preventive measures strictly, mobilized data of all stranded Ghanaians for an eventual evacuation flight to Ghana, these were great moments of admiration, in that, we appreciated the President's choice for Seoul; the right ambassador at the right moment.
- Under her tenure in Korea, we have also keenly followed and realized Ghana's strengthened relations with Korea whereby Korean investors are headed for our country, boosting an atmosphere of friendliness between the two countries. We can freely posit that her distinct personality, friendliness, receptiveness, and professional drive have led to the steady influx of some Korean government, corporate institutions, and business executive's continued interest in our country for mutual benefits.
- Another outstanding feat of Ambassador Difie Agyarko is the Grand Inauguration of the NPP Korea branch, attended by the National Chairman, Lawyer Frederick Blay, General Secretary John Boadu, Director of International Affairs Emmanuel Attafuah-Danso, and other dignitaries. The New Patriotic Party birthed a new branch in Korea under her tenure and she is the first-ever patron of the NPP Korea branch. She is the top financial sponsor of the branch's establishment until today.
Mr President, we believe that the fortunes of a political party's continued stay in power can be more solidified when citizens in the diaspora garner solid support for the mother party in Ghana especially when ROPAL takes full effect in the not too distant future, possibly at the 2024 elections, the NPP can rest assured of an electoral victory in this part of the Asia Pacific region. The branch is currently active with campaign events on radio, tv, and all social media platforms campaigning for a four more year mandate for our President, H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo additionally, the Korea branch, is adopting six orphan constituencies to sponsor and help win power for our mother party NPP in Ghana.
Mr President, the above-mentioned issues are just a tiny fraction of our testament of madam ambassador Difie Agyarko Kusi. Our sister branches in Japan, China, Australia, and others can all attest to this feat.
Therefore, we are grateful to you, Mr President, for appointing to Seoul, such a distinct ambassador. It is our wish that if possible, we continue to have her as our ambassador to Seoul again and again. Undoubtedly, all branch executives, the council of elders, chapters, and general members, attest that she is an asset for our dear NPP party.
Your Excellency, we humbly request your good office to continue granting her the needed support, for she is a woman of the people at every stage of her tenure in Seoul, she brought the Embassy, back to life amid her laudable achievements as stated above she will remain on our hearts forever, even when she is re-assigned elsewhere to serve our great party and government.
Mr President, We, the NPP South Korea branch, the general Ghanaian community, respectfully appeal to you and humbly request that you continue to appoint ambassadors of her persona.
To crown it all, Mr President, we bring you patriotic regards from the Land of the Morning Calm,
South Korea. We are very hopeful that, come December 7th, 2020, Ghanaians will reward you and our New Patriotic Party with another four more years to do more for the country, both at home and abroad.
Long Live President Akufo-Addo!
Long Live the NPP!
Long Live, Ghana!
Sincerely,
Dadzie Akrasi
