The executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) including polling stations and electoral area coordinators at Sefwi Akontombra in the Western North Region, have in unison called for incumbent Parliamentarian, Alex Djornuboah Tetteh, to stand unopposed in the upcoming party primaries.
During a press conference, the executives highlighted their thorough evaluation of the MP's performance during his second term in office, expressing a strong preference that he faces no opposition when the NPP opens nominations later this year.
The former Constituency Disciplinary Committee Chairman, Daniel Oduro, emphasised the necessity of this decision, recalling the MP's instrumental role in boosting the Presidential vote during his candidacy in 2016.
Mr Oduro also praised Mr Tetteh's hardworking nature and effective collaboration with party executives at that time.
Describing the incumbent MP as affable to both party delegates and constituents, Mr Oduro commended the lawmakers consistent support for party obligations and sponsorship of social functions.
He highlighted the meaningful utilisation of the MP's share of the Common Fund, aligning with party opinions on project priorities.
Additionally, Mr Oduro acknowledged the Parliamentarian's successful lobbying efforts for government projects in the area, significantly enhancing its development.
Mr Oduro pointed out the MP's substantial contributions to human resource development and job placements within the constituency, asserting that Mr Tetteh's efforts have positively impacted the party's standing in the area.
Encouraging all party supporters in the constituency, Mr Oduro called for unwavering support for Alex Djornuboah Tetteh, urging them to unite in ensuring he runs unopposed in the upcoming primaries.
