Chairman of the Election Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mac Manu says the party’s delegates have always made the right choice in electing their executives.
According to him, the delegates of the party “never disappoint” stressing that they “look at the circumstances of time and the dynamics of the future elections and cast their votes.”
He noted that the delegates have the final decision and believes the elected executives at the National Delegates Conference on Sunday “have the strength, the wisdom and the character to take NPP to the next level.”
He said the party has accepted in good faith the decision of the delegates.
Speaking on The Probe, Sunday, Peter Mac Manu also explained the theme for this year’s national delegates conference.
“Looking at what has transpired over the last past months from the polling station elections, from the constituency and the regional elections, there have been some people who have lost the election, some people have won.
“There is the need to bring all these people together to work in unison to work together and hold our hand together for the greater battle in 2024 so that informed the choice of theme for the conference,” he said.
The party’s Delegates Conference was held on Saturday, July 16 at the Accra Sports stadium under the theme: "Working together, holding together."
Over 6000 delegates voted for new national executives of the party to steer the affairs of the party and prepare the party for their quest to 'break the eight'.
