Since the announcement of the death of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, a cross-section of Nigerians have taken to social media to express their condolences to the president and the family of the deceased.
Born in November 1938, the renowned politician died of complications from the coronavirus at a Lagos hospital on Friday, April 17. Sources say he had underlying health issues including diabetes.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, who confirmed the news in a tweet said “Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, passes on. May God rest his soul. Amen. Funeral arrangements to be announced soon.”
This announcement has however been met with mixed reactions. While some Nigerians expressed genuine concerns about what caused the death of the politician, many were more jovial with their response to the news.

It is sad that the Chief of Staff to Nigeria President @MBuhari, succumb to the Coronavirus. This should serve as a wake-up call to our leaders to equip and renovate all teaching hospitals and Federal Medical Centres to meet the World Class standard. #adekkatv #mls4covid19 https://t.co/jgr79nbSvU

In short, be a proper human when you're alive.
When China was sharing corona virus & refused sending it to Nigeria, what did you do about it ? Was it not Abba Kyari that travelled to Germany to fight for our own share of the virus ? Please appreciate your former chief of staff.

This man had access to the best medical care and facilities Nigeria could offer and still died.
The masses don’t have these privileges. Let’s save ourselves and others by staying at home.
Let him that lives in glass house desist from throwing stones.
