The New Ghana Movement (NGM), a political think tank has commended the Electoral Commission (EC) for a successful registration and photo taking exercise.
A statement signed by Kofi Kankam, Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Branch of NGM said the EC was very prudent in extending the period for the exercise.
It said the EC did well by making sure that all eligible voters had their names on the register.
The statement said the teams each made up of a photographer and a clerk stayed for the entire period at electoral areas where figures of those who could not have their pictures taken were high.
The statement also commended the media and the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) for the publicity during the exercise
It said, besides EC efforts to publicize the exercise, the political parties, did well by using their channels of communications to get the message to the people.
