The host of Newsfile Samson Lardy Anyenini and his crew has surprised the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide with a birthday celebration, Saturday.
Mr Kweku Baako turned 66 on July 7 and the Newsfile team planned something special to mark the belated birthday.
The team brought in the veteran journalist’s friend, Kwame Sefa Kayi popularly known as Chairman General who is the host of Kokrokoo on Peace FM to join in the celebration.
There were special voice notes messages from Mr Kweku Baako's friends including colleague Kwesi Pratt Jnr, Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper.
The wife of Mr Kweku Baako, Isha Zuwera Baako also thanked Allah for the life of her husband.
She thanked the journalist affectionately called 'Bombay' for his never-ending inspiration.
Popular pollster and editor of the Daily Dispatch, Ben Epson and Abdul-Rahman Harruna Attah, former High Commissioner to Namibia and editor of Accra Daily Mail, called in to eulogise the birthday celebrant.
Mr Kweku Baako was also presented with a cake on behalf of The Multimedia Group.
The panel on the show, Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful and aide to former president John Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari prayed for Kweku Baako.
The 66-year-old said the surprise has rendered him “almost speechless.” He thanked the team for the surprise and the love showed him.
In addition to the cake, Mr Kweku Baako was also presented with a hamper and a white sheep.
