Squandron Leader Clend Mawuko Sowu, a leading member of the ruling National Democratic Congress is reported to have passed away this morning.
Family sources say he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
He participated in the Presidential Dinner as part of the Millennium Excellence Awards at the Flagstaff House, Friday night.
Squadron Leader Sowu until his death, was the Board Chairman of the Electricity Company of Ghana and a former member of parliament for the Anlo constituency in the Volta Region.
Squadron Leader Sowu was 78 years.
