Nhyira FM, the leading Kumasi-based radio station, has mobilized a total sum of ¢235,991 to support a lady with a kidney problem.
Wendy Nana Serwaah Akoto, a 19-year-old science student of Yaa Asantewaa Girls SHS was diagnosed of kidney disease in December 2019.
Her family has been struggling to foot her medical bills.
Mother of Wendy, Justina Amponsah, appealed for support on Nhyira FM’s magazine show “Obra”.
Show host, Lady Effe Amanor, appealed to listeners of Nhyira FM who donated generously.
“I ask of God blessings to all who donated towards the treatment of Wendy. ‘Obra’ is very grateful,” she said.
Madam Justina also expressed gratitude.
“We don’t know how we could’ve done this without your help,” she said.
