Some customers in the process of completing their vehicle registration have applauded the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Authority (DVLA) for making the process less complicated.
The DVLA in 2021 announced that customers will now have the option of starting their vehicle registration online and remotely.
In previous years owners had to present their vehicles at any DVLA office and join long queues to complete paperwork.
Some new vehicle owners who have registered their vehicles without any problem say the process is less stressful.
“Registering my car, yes the process is quite smooth, you know from here you are going to this place, from here you are going to the next place, but the problem is that I have been here for about two days and today is the day that I am getting my plate, but the process is smooth. So it goes," a customer told JoyNews.
Another customer said, “I believe that because the year has started and a lot of people are registering their car, that is why there is a lot of queues over here, but under a normal circumstance I believe it will go smoothly and the process is good,”
