New Youth and Sports Minister Honorable Clement Kofi Humado will begin his official duties today after having been sworn in by President John Evans Atta Mills yesterday.
The 57-year-old Member of Parliament for Anlo takes over from Akua Sena Dansua and becomes the forth man to head the Ministry in the last three years
The new Sports Minister has promised to focus his attention on developing the so called lesser known sporting disciplines because Ghana has the potential to excel in other areas beyond football.
This he believes will give opportunities to the youth to develop their hidden talents.
He must however first work on the perceived strained relationship between the Ministry and the Football Association especially after the raid on the FA’s secretariat late last year.
