New Edubiase United continued their unbeaten home run against the Cape Coast based side, as they piped them 1-0 on Friday at the Len Clay Sports Stadium, Obuasi.
Zuberu Fuseini’s 64th minute goal was enough to give Anthony Commey’s charges all the three points.
The game failed to produce much excitement because the two sides were cautious to avoid a defeat, having both lost their match day 1 games.
The game was an end to end action, however it was Dwarfs, who had the best of opportunities to score in the first half of the game, but they were wasteful upfront.
New Edubiase United came into the second half strongly and dominated their opponents, but failed to create decent scoring chances, until substitute Nsiah out-run his markers and gave an inswing, which was connected home by Zuberu Fuseini in the 64 minute, which became the match winner.
The home team have a superior record against Dwarfs, having won 3, lost 1 and drawn 4 of their 8 league encounters.
New Edubiase last season lost only 1 game at the Len Clay Sports Stadium, in a game against Ashgold their landlords.
The win is refreshing news to New Edubiase, who lost on match day 1 to Ashgold, however, new entrants, Ebusua Dwarfs have lost in their first two games of the new season, which will send them down the league ladder.
