A 3-unit classroom block has been commissioned in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti region to aid teaching and learning.
The project which has offices, stores as well as six seater water closet facility and mechanized borehole for students of Methodist D/A Basic school cost the District GH¢297,389.40.
Dual desks, chairs and tables were also presented to the school for use. The school has been facing challenges with classrooms and furniture for many years.
The District Chief Executive for the area, Clement Opoku Gyamfi, in an interview with JoyNews said the building will help to improve teaching and learning.
Clement Opoku Gyamfi said he is committed to the development of Amansie South.
Mr Gyamfi urged the school authorities to handle the facilities with care and encouraged the pupils to study hard to achieve their goals and aspire to become useful to their communities.
He thanked stakeholders for their contributions towards the construction of the school. Chief of Manso Adubia, Nana Doku Dankwah ll, who was also present at the event, calls on Ghanaians to support the district.
