Leading consumer goods manufacturer Nestlé Ghana Ltd has awarded its top 5 distributors in 2023 with brand new foton trucks.
The Good food, Good Life brand’s initiative to recognized top performing partners of Nestlé Ghana in the distribution chain was introduced 3 years ago to show appreciation and also to support their operations.
The presentation, which took place at the company’s head office at Dzorwulu, follows 69 similar presentations for other distributors across the length and breadth of the country.
DANMAUD Ltd took the award for overall best distributor based on high sales achievements, an impressive business structure and proper logistics chain management.
This was followed by Edcey Company Ltd in Accra, Ofram Limited in Tamale, Lesfam Company Limited in Madina and Awenyami Enterprise in Sandema respectively.
As elated as she was, Md. Maud Botwe of DANMAUD who took home the top distributor award for the second year running, expressed her gratitude to the management and promised to deliver more in the years ahead.
“We need these kinds of support to help us improve the business so that we can do more when it comes to sales and I am happy that Nestlé keeps rewarding our hard work.”
Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana Ltd., Georgios Badaro, was full praise for the contribution of the distributors to the growth of the company and was hopeful for a fruitful 2024.
“You are one of us, we are part of you, so with the spirit of corporation, that spirit of wining together, we can make things happen. Big thank you for the performance of 2023”.
“We know 2024 is going to be tough but we believe that we are going to deliver amazing results.”
Addressing concerns of the exit of some global brands and the impact of the economic situation on businesses, Deborah Kwablah, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager at Nestlé Ghana Ltd stated emphatically that Ghana’s favourite food manufacturer “Nestlé is here to stay”.
“We believe in Ghana, Nestlé believes in Ghana and we will continue to invest in this country. We are not going anywhere.”
The Nestlé Distributor Awards are held annually to recognize distributor efforts and contribution to business growth and success.
