The National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) is working on a ten-year development plan that seeks to build on the foundations laid by the various growth and poverty reduction strategies.
Addressing a meeting of the Volta Regional Co-ordinating Council (VRCC) at Ho, Barima Owusu Afari, a member of the NDPC said the draft plan had been discussed at a stakeholders meeting attended by 23 Members of Parliament and that it would be further deliberated upon at regional forums throughout the country.
Barima Afari said the plan would finally be submitted to Parliament for adoption as blue print for development.
He stressed that the plan is non-partisan and therefore urged the public to show keen interest in the discussions relating to its adoption.
