The National Democratic Congress has extended its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims in the killing of students in the State of Virginia, USA.
A statement signed by Elvis Afriyie- Ankrah, Deputy General Secretary, Operations said, the leadership of the party was shocked with the news and extended its sympathy to the families that had to go through the traumatic experience.
“It is our hope that the United States authorities, especially in the State of Virginia, will improve legislation on the ownership of guns, as well as security of citizens to avert such disaster," the statement added.
The NDC joins hands in solidarity to mourn with all concerned citizens especially the parents, teachers, classmates and neighbours of these innocent students whose lives have been so brutally cut short by this unfortunate incident, the statement said.
