Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has indicated that he has the unflinching support of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to continue his work as a legislator.

This he said was evident during his vetting adding that his constituents also appreciated his performance and would want him to do more as their representative in Parliament.

He made these statements when speaking to the media at the premises of the NDC Volta Regional Office in Ho after he was vetted ahead of the parliamentary primaries.

“What is important is that it is a clear indication that I have been asked by the party to continue to do the good work that I am doing for the good people of South Dayi," he said.

He entreated the delegates to keep faith in him as he continues to champion the course of the constituents both in the constituency and in Accra.

Mr Dafeamekpor listed among other things his leadership role in mobilizing youth to demonstrate against the bad state of the Eastern Corridor Road in the constituency, which led to the resumption of construction work on the road.

“The duty imposed on me by the good people of South Dayi to remove Nana Akufo-Addo and the incompetent government is not done.  So they are asking me to continue," he said.

He is optimistic about winning the primaries scheduled on the 13th of May 2023.

“I may have some competition, but I think that competition, when it comes to 13th May, we shall go into the nitty-gritty of that very well”, Mr. Dafeamekpor said.
