A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Campaign Logistics Committee in the Volta Region has called on residents, especially those in coastal and farming areas, to unite in support of the party.

Speaking during a campaign tour in the Keta Constituency, Francis Senanu Dekutse emphasised the party’s commitment to leveraging the region’s abundant natural resources and implementing transformative policies, led by John Mahama, to catalyse economic growth, enhance livelihoods, and position the Volta Region as a hub of prosperity.

Transforming Natural Resources into Economic Powerhouses

During his address, Mr Dekutse highlighted the Volta Region’s rich natural resources, including oil reserves, salt, and other minerals, as untapped assets with the potential to drive unprecedented regional development.

He outlined the NDC’s strategic plan to invest heavily in these sectors, ensuring that resource exploitation directly benefits local communities.

He argued that, under Mahama's leadership, the NDC government would introduce modern infrastructure and advanced technology to optimise these industries, creating thousands of jobs and transforming the region into a thriving economic center.

The 24-Hour Economy: A Game-Changer for Livelihoods

Mr Dekutse spoke about the NDC's flagship “24-Hour Economy” policy, describing it as a revolutionary approach to reinvigorating Ghana’s economic landscape.

This policy, he explained, would create a dynamic economic environment, improve working conditions, and generate employment opportunities around the clock.

"This is not just a policy; it's a lifeline," he said. "It will empower our workforce, optimize productivity, and ensure that every Ghanaian, from farmers to traders, feels the positive impact in their daily lives."

In particular, Mr Dekutse highlighted how the policy would transform the coastal areas’ fish farming and aquaculture sectors.

He promised state-of-the-art facilities, technical training, and financial support for fisherfolk and entrepreneurs, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to thrive.

By modernising these industries, the NDC aims to foster financial independence and sustainable growth within coastal communities.

A Message of Hope and Unity

Mr Dekutse’s speech resonated strongly with residents, who expressed deep confidence in the NDC’s vision for the region. Many attendees highlighted their struggles with underdeveloped infrastructure and limited opportunities, hoping that a change in leadership would bring the much-needed transformation.

"We see the potential in these policies," said a local resident. "The NDC's plans align with our needs, and we believe John Mahama will deliver."

The overwhelming support underscored a shared belief that the NDC’s proposed initiatives would address long-standing issues, from unemployment to infrastructure deficits, fostering a more equitable and prosperous society.

A Call to Action for the Volta Region

In his closing remarks, Mr Dekutse made a heartfelt appeal for unity and active participation in the upcoming elections.

He urged the people of the Volta Region to mobilise their communities, campaign vigorously, and vote decisively for the NDC.

"This is our moment to shape the future," he declared. "Together, we can ensure that the Volta Region reaches its full potential. A vote for John Mahama and the NDC is a vote for progress, dignity, and prosperity."

As the campaign gathers momentum, the Volta Region stands poised at a pivotal moment in its history.

Francis Senanu Dekutse’s compelling message has ignited hope, rallying residents to envision a future where their resources are maximized, their industries modernised, and their communities transformed.

The choice in the upcoming election, he emphasised, is not just about politics but about securing a prosperous legacy for generations to come.
