Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for Okaikoi Central, Baba Sadiq, says he is convinced his qualities match the expectations of the general voter population in his constituency.
According to him, his youthfulness, business acumen and reputation makes him a desirable candidate for the NDC parliamentary post for Okaikoi Central.
He stated that currently, he is communicating those desired traits and how they could translate into a sure victory for the NDC in the constituency to delegates if he is given the nod.
Speaking on JoyNews’ PM Express, the media mogul said under the Baba Sadiq effect banner, he hopes that the delegates will recognize his true potential and give him the necessary push to deliver his social impact policies to the constituents.
“For me what I’ve been trying to communicate to them is the Baba Saddiq effect. I will call on my professional reputation, I will call on my youthfulness, I’ll call on the fact that I’ve got a lot of admirable traits that could be sold to the general voters in the constituency. I will call on the fact that the Baba Sadiq effect will attract at least 10% of our hardest to reach blocks particularly for the NDC and that’s what I’ve been selling to them.
“Most importantly again when you track the constituency from now, there is a particular thing that has become a trend, the general voters in the constituency, they most often have expectations or aspirations which they’ve expressed from ’96 till now in terms of the kind of qualities or the kind of candidates they will want to see from a particular party.
“And almost always when the parties or any party has managed to bring a candidate that matches the expectation of the general voter they get to win. So the point I’ve been making to them is breaking it down to them how the voter pattern has been in the constituency over time and that most importantly, how or the fact that Baba Sadiq actually matches the expectation of the general voter given all the qualities mentioned,” he said.
