Aspiring NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Central Tongu, Victor Kwadjoga Adawudu, says he intends to embody the principle of servant-leadership when given the nod in the NDC parliamentary primaries.
According to him, much of Ghana’s problems is as a result of the kind of leadership practiced by the country’s leaders.
He believes that his Christian upbringing and strong principles will keep him on the narrow path to deliver the desired servant-leadership that will usher development to his constituency.
Speaking on JoyNews’ PM Express, he said, “It’s servant-leadership. It’s leadership, all our biggest challenge and problem in this country is about leadership and I believe that with my background as a Christian and my principles I’m sure that I can serve the people and contribute my quota to nation building.
“It is to serve the people, give back, let’s build the society that we want. And I think that leadership is something that we have learnt, we have done it and we can do it; and help our people, rally them and lobby them so that we move ahead. I think leadership, leadership, leadership is our issue.”
While, Mr. Adawudu has been serving his people through his legal expertise, he is convinced that venturing into parliament will give him the opportunity to create positive change in the lives of more constituents than he currently does.
“You’re seen as the leader of the community, the leader of your people in the constituency and you have more leverage than being in private – yes, you have made it in your personal private work, now you want let it go back to your community, give back to the community,” he said.
