An NDC parliamentary aspirant in the Keta Constituency has expressed gratitude to the indigenes for offering to pay the cost of his nomination forms.
Dr Senanu Kwesi Djokoto, a former constituency chairman of the party said he is grateful for their generosity.
In a statement issued on behalf of the medical practitioner cum politician, the aspirant said he is thankful for the gesture from the residents, amidst the current economic crisis.
The statement, which was signed by his campaign spokesperson, Sampson Tagbor, further reiterated Dr Djokoto's commitment to making life better for his constituents if given the nod to serve as the Member of Parliament for the area.
"I write to express the profound appreciation of Dr. Senanu Kwesi Djokoto to the gallant men and women of our Party (NDC) in the Keta Constituency who have willingly taken it upon themselves to pay for his nomination forms as he runs for the office of the Member of Parliament.
In these harsh economic times in our country, we do not take it lightly that you are using your hard-earned income to pay for the cost of his nomination forms", portions of the statement revealed.

Dr Djokoto is among a host of party faithful who have expressed their desire to contest in the primaries of the National Democratic Congress, scheduled for May this year.
Currently, he serves as the Acting Regional Director of Health in the Volta Region.
He is also a two-time constituency chairman of the NDC in keta; having also served the party's late founder, former President Rawlings as a former aide.

Meanwhile, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold its presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday, May 13, 2023, to elect a new flagbearer as well as its parliamentary candidates for the 2024 elections.
Per the schedule announced by the party on January 18, aspirants are expected to pick their nomination forms at the party’s headquarters at Adabraka or access them via the party’s official website.
Parliamentary aspirants will be picking their forms from Monday, 20th February to 24th February at a fee of GH¢5,000; and later submit them at a fee of GH¢40,000 between March 20 to March 22.
This will be followed by the vetting of aspirants from 27th March to 29th March, 2023.
