NDC Forum For Setting The Records Straight
Akufo-Addo- The Desperate Man Ghana Must Fear
Good morning ladies and gentlemen of the media and thank you once more for honoring our invitation.
Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP have clearly lost the battle on issues. The majority of the people of Ghana have seen through their many lies- their lies about free education and free healthcare. Their deception about having improved the economy of Ghana and the many false and empty promises contained in their manifesto.
Having clearly lost the battle on issues, Nana Akufo-Addo and his party have now decided that one of the main ways they can boost their waning chances is to do what the NPP knows how to do best- unleash their agents to manufacture stories and get their mafia conspirators in the media to give extensive coverage to these fabricated lies.
NPP’s belief as usual is that somehow, the people of Ghana will believe this latest round of lies and decide out of fear to retain NPP in power come December 28th, 2008. It is sad the extent to which the NPP continues to underrate the intelligence of the people of Ghana.
Akufo-Addo’s Attempt To “Paul Afoko” Ghana Will Fail
Nana Akufo-Addo and his henchmen are desperate- and anytime they get desperate they resort to wicked lying schemes in an attempt to get their way. We recall how Akufo-Addo and his desperate group used lies and manipulation to frame up Paul Afoko during NPP’s presidential primaries. In connivance with Lord Commey, NPPs National Organiser, Akufo-Addo’s team blatantly fabricated the lie that Paul Afoko, a close associate of Alan Kyerematen was distributing dollars to delegates at the party’s congress. It did not matter to Akufo-Addo that this was a lie. It did not matter to him that this lie could have caused the death of innocent Paul Afoko. The only thing that Akufo-Addo cared about was how that vicious lie would turn the minds of delegates away from Alan Kyerematen and enable him win no matter the cost.
That clearly depicts the man Akufo-Addo. To him, the end clearly justifies the means! Principles do not matter- truth does not matter- even life is dispensable- the only thing that matters is winning at all cost.
No wonder, his own party people can categorically declare that they cannot afford to sleep with their eyes closed if Akufo-Addo becomes the president of Ghana. Does Ghana need this desperate man as president? A man not even trusted by his own party people? If NPP people are not safe under him, how safe is the rest of Ghana?
Akufo-Addo First- Ghana Last
Ladies and gentlemen, the conduct of Akufo-Addo at the last NPP congress shows that even when it comes to party, the man’s belief is- Me First, Party Last. Are you therefore surprised about the low depths to which his campaign has sunk since the shock his party received in the first round?
Having failed to convince the country with his empty promises and deceitful claims, Akufo-Addo and his party soon after the declaration of the first round results declared through their spokesman Kwabena Agyepong, that “NPP will do everything possible” to win the second round. Ghanaians will recall how in the year 2002, in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling that the fast track courts were unconstitutional, President Kufuor then in far away Australia, instructed Akufo-Addo to do everything to overturn that decision. Ghana not long after that learned the meaning of NPP’s “Do everything”- By everything, NPP means everything immoral, unconscionable, crooked and desperate.
NPP’s Desperate Hit List
Not long after Kwabena Agyepong’s declaration, NPP’s Arthur Kennedy went a step further by disclosing in a public interview that they would use Rawlings and the records of the erstwhile AFRC/PNDC to discredit the NDC. Mustapha Hamid, Akufo-Addo’s spokesman had earlier stated a similar thing on Joy Fm, the very day the first round results were announced by the EC.
Within a space of 48 hours after these declarations, Ghana woke up to the news of a so called HIT LIST emanating from NDC founder, Jerry Rawlings, targeting pastors, media men, judges and other people.
Ladies and gentlemen, this imaginary HIT LIST is nothing but Akufo-Addo’s attempt to replay the desperate Paul Afoko Trick his clique used to sway the unsuspecting NPP delegates. The list is as fake as the Paul Afoko accusation fabricated by Akufo-Addo and his henchmen during NPP’s presidential congress.
Even though the NDC has called on the Police and national security to investigate the origin of the “419 NPP HIT LIST” clearly because they know it is a hoax originating from the NPP. Today’s Enquirer newspaper has through diligent investigations uncovered the identity of the NPP hoodlum behind the NPP “419 Hit List”. The author of the fake Hit List has been shown to be an NPP cyber activist who uses the name Major Seth Arkoful and posts all kinds of pro Akufo-Addo messages and anti NDC messages. The said NPP criminal is said to be communicating from an ISP known as Ghanatel, a Ghana Telecom ISP Network and Ecobank Ltd.
We hope that national security would repair their shattered image by doing something about this information in order to bring into the open the NPP criminal who is behind this “419 Hit List” especially against the backdrop that the Hit List also bears the ISP as the one which was used to defraud several foreigners.
Age Old Dirty Tricks By NPP
What Akufo-Addo and his desperate team are doing at the moment is a modification of the same systematic lies and fabrication that have characterized NPP’s tenure over the last eight years. The name of the game is: Kill the NDC through All kinds of Lies & You Will Retain Political Power. This is the reason why Akufo-Addo’s NPP severally lied that Former President Rawlings was planning to overthrow the NPP.
The current hit list is no different from the cock and bull assassination plot cooked by Kweku Baako, the leader of the NPP media mafia, in conjunction with national security in the first term of the NPP claiming that Victor Smith was planning to kill him.
The NPP 419 Hit List is no different from the fabricated lie by Egbert Faibille, another member of the NPP media mafia that NDC gurus were plotting to kill NDC’s Haruna Iddrisu.
Ladies and gentlemen, anytime NPP is desperate, they resort to these 419 tricks in a bid to survive. It has failed repeatedly in the past and will fail again this time around.
Nana Addo- The Man Otabil & Co Must Fear
The NPP 419 trick used against Paul Afoko succeeded in fooling NPP delegates to vote for Akufo-Addo.
It is our hope that Pastor Mensa Otabil and others, whom the NPP tricksters, think they can toy with, see through the desperate and dirty tricks being resorted to by the NPP.
Pastor Otabil and co. have nothing to fear about the NDC- our record as a political party from 1992 to date is there for all to see. Unlike the NPP we have never killed anyone before- and do not have any plans to emulate NPP’s example of barbarity and murder.
As a party, we have never in pursuit of political power planted bombs in the hands of little children and blow innocent children into pieces just for the sake of political power- NPP’s family has done so- Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, Akufo-Addo’s Campaign Manager can give the country all the gory details of his party’s barbarity because his father was the group’s main agent in the killing of innocent children.
Pastor Otabil and Co should know that the party they must fear is the party that in 1992, had no hesitation burning to death NDC’s Effia Kwesimintim chairman.
The political group they must dread is the NPP who in 1996, brutally murdered NDC’s Grukponi on the streets of Kumasi.
Pastor and Co should just ask the ordinary Ghanaian and they will be left in no doubt as to which political group the vast majority of Ghanaians believe was behind the killing of innocent women in the year 2000 as part of a desperate ploy to win power at all cost.
Between Atta Mills’ NDC and Akufo-Addo’s NPP- the choice cannot be any easier for Pastor Otabil and Co. Whereas NDC’s Atta Mills is a genuine man of peace, NPP’s Akufo-Addo has blood and violence dogging his political trail. NDC’s Vice Chairman in the Abwakwa central constituency, Abu Mohammed remains a cripple today because of the brutality meted out to him by Akufo-Addo’s thugs. Again in the year 2004, Akufo-Addo’s thugs on the night of the elections set ablaze NDC’s office in Kyebi and destroyed everything in that office.
Akufo-Addo’s naturally violent propensity obviously has made his party even more violent since he became leader of the NPP. The brutalities, bloodletting and mayhem that characterized NPPs parliamentary primaries have not so soon been forgotten by Ghanaians.
Pastor Otabil and Co just need to recall how NPP’s criminals went on rampage in Gushiegu and killed in cold blood 4 NDC people including a defenseless 80 year old man, to know which party to fear.
The only party Pastor Otabil and co must fear is the party that has set a global record as having as its national organizer, a man who confesses that he has under him a gang of armed criminals who snatch ballot boxes at gun point.
We Hope NPP Does Not Out Of Desperation Harm Otabil & Co
We are also hoping that NPP’s desperation does not descend further to the extent that they want to truly harm people like Otabil so that they can blame it on their opponents.
Those who think this is far fetched do not know the NPP or are too blinded to see them in their true light.
A group that can fabricate the monstrous lie that nearly caused the death of Paul Afoko can literally do anything.
A party that has no problems killing innocent people including children for political power can do anything.
A party that presides over the torture and killing in military custody of an opposition leader in Tamale, Issa Mobila, can do anything.
A group whose leader has no problem andangering the safety of our country by opening the floodgates of cocainecracy through various actions and inactions while in office as Attorney General, can do anything.
A group whose leader is so desperate and ready to go to every depths and resort to every deception and subterfuge all because of power, can do anything.
Ladies and gentlemen, NDC has throughout this campaign shown what a peace loving party it is and what a peace maker it has as a candidate. The NDC will continue for the sake of Ghana to refrain from descending to the depths of desperation the NPP has descended.
Exposure is the best means to checkmate evil conspiracies. We hope that this attempt to unmask the true nature of deceit and violence of the NPP would enable all Ghanaians to be better prepared to deal with NPP’s desperate schemes and help victims of NPP’s 419 Hit list like Pastor Otabil and co to identify where their real danger is coming from- not from the NDC but from a frantic NPP ready to “Do Everything Immoral, Shameful and Desperate” to cling on to power at all cost.
We are consoled by the knowledge that Ghana will overcome- Truth will prevail and NDC’s March to victory will not be hampered by this NPP’s wave of lies and desperation.
Thank you very much ladies and gentlemen for coming.
