Ghanaian spoken word artiste and poet, Nana Fredua-Agyeman Jnr. has submitted his second album, ‘Wonder’ for nomination consideration for the 67th GRAMMY Awards.

The eleven-track album features veteran actor, David Dontoh, T. Monterisi (T./MO), a U.K based multi-disciplinary artiste, Yaw Stone, and Nana Kwame Osei Sarpong (The Soulman).

The call for submission of eligible works opened from the 17th of July, 2024 to30th August, 2024. The eligibility window is from 16th September, 2023 to 30th August, 2024.

This means all records within the stated period that fit specific category criteria are qualified to be considered for nomination.

According to the Recording Academy, only registered media companies and recording academy members (voting and professional) can make submissions for GRAMMY consideration.

This is the second time the avid writer and recording artiste is submitting his album for consideration. In September, 2022 his maiden album titled, ‘Ponder’ was considered for nomination at the sixty-seventh (65th) GRAMMY Awards.

His album was part of the first body of works to be considered for nomination in the newly created Spoken Word Poetry Album of the Year category in the award scheme.

Nana Fredua-Agyeman Jnr. is an award-winning writer, spoken word artiste and poet having won thrice at the Ghana Association of Writers’ Literary Awards.

He set a record in 2023 as the first spoken word artiste and poet to win in all positions; first (1st), second (2nd) and third (3rd) in the same category – Kofi Anyidoho Spoken Word category. Nominations will be announced on 8th November, 2024.
