Mr Appiah Feanteng, Ho Municipal Coordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), has appealed to Ho Polytechnic branch of the Tertiary Students Confederation (TESCON) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to increase the party's vote in the Volta Region by 15 percent in the 2008 elections.
He said with their youthful exuberance they should be able to increase the NPP's vote in the region.
Mr Feanteng, who was speaking at the swearing of new executives of Ho Poly TESCON on Saturday, said the party's youth in tertiary institutions were the lifeline of the NPP.
"The youth need to use their youthful energy to play crucial roles towards achieving victory for the NPP in 2008."
He urged members of TESCON to sacrifice a little for the party to make sure it retained power.
Mr Feanteng said NPP's potential in the Volta Region was great and appealed to members of the party to be courageous to convince others to join the NPP.
