The multiple award-winning artiste, Kuami Eugene appears to be really enjoying the fame he has earned in the music industry.
The young artiste is unwilling to give up or trade his fame for anything else.
According to him, it will be a nightmare not to be recognised as the rock star he has become, right from the very first day he held onto the microphone.
The 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Artiste of the Year made these revelations on The Doreen Avio Show, which airs on Joy Prime.
"My greatest fear is to wake up one morning and realise I’m not this rockstar. Imagine I wake up and go to the mall, and nobody says ‘Rockstar.’ I will ask myself if I didn’t sleep well. I mean, I get people asking me, don’t you get tired when people are on your leg everywhere? You don’t get to come stand in a queue like us anymore? I tell them it’s my job. "Do you think I'd rather get by without being recognised like you?" he asks.
The Lynx Entertainment cum EMPIRE Distribution signee believes money can acquire fame.

He described it as a travesty to be the world's most famous musician without money.
"The money can give me the fame, so will you prefer to choose being famous over being without anything in your pocket? I think that will be the worst experience of my life. You’ll be super popular; everybody knows you everywhere, but you have to pick Uber. "The driver will be thinking, 'Is this Kuami Eugene, or has the Rockstar's car developed a fault?" he said.
Born Eugene Kwame Marfo, he is a highlife and Afrobeat singer-songwriter best known for songs such as "Wish Me Well" and "Ohemaa," to name a few.
He won the 2019 VGMA New Artiste Awards.

The 27-year-old musician also received the Most Promising Artiste in Africa award from AFRIMA, and in 2020, he received seven (7) VGMA nominations, of which he won four (4), including the covetous – The Artiste of the Year award.
Also on the show, Kuami Eugene revealed his love for cars.
According to him, he developed the interest for super cars while growing up when he used to walk several kilometres.
