Residents of Sefwi Nkatieso in the Juaboso District of the Western Region are living in fear as human parts were found in the town early Monday morning.
Victoria Sakyi, an eyewitness, told Daily Guide newspaper that she saw human parts on her compound around 6:00a.m when she was sweeping. She therefore informed the chief of the town, Nana Afrokwaah II, who told her to throw the parts away because he taught it was an abortion.
However, curious residents who were present at the scene became very suspicious when they saw sharp cuttings on the human parts. They then informed the police.
Inspector Paul Manu of Benchema-barrier police station accompanied the media to the scene and found a right leg and left arm of a baby.
Meanwhile, the found parts have since been deposited at the mortuary, while Nana Afrokwaah and Victoria Sakyi assist with police investigations.
The police officer asked the residents to volunteer any relevant information to his outfit and advised parents to take good care of their children.
