Sulley Muntari is joining Inter Milan on pre-season training in the USA after reports emerged he could be heading back to the Premier League in a swap deal with Liverpool for the transfer of Javier Mascharano.
The Ghanaian midfielder struggled for first team football at Inter Milan last season and with his strongest backer Jose Mourinho off to Real Madrid, the Milan giants are keen to offload him.
Inter are eyeing a deal for Argentina captain Mascharano and are hoping the offer of the Ghanaian midfielder Muntari with previous premiership experience from his time at Portsmouth will help.
Muntari, a two time Serie A winner has insisted though that he wants to stay on at Inter and fight for his place in the side under former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez.
