The first episode of a new programme for young people, News Generation, designed to cater for the news needs of children, has aired on two MultiTV channels; 4Kids and Joy News.
News Generation is a 30 minute News Magazine programme for young people aged 12-15.
The programme aims to provide relevant and independent news for children and to give them a voice whilst highlighting issues of child rights.
The first broadcast focused on political events of the past month, leading up to the swearing-in of president John Dramani Mahama.
Views were sought from some young people of their new year’s resolutions and the production team went to Winneba in the Central Region to dance with the masqueraders.
The programme is presented by Efua Acquaah-Harrison.
Watch ‘News Generration’ On Multi Tv 4kids Channel 3:30 Pm and Joy News Channel 4Pm every Sunday.
