The leading Ghanaian mobile operator, MTN has introduced to the Ghanaian market the most affordable GSM mobile phones. The G1157 and S308 phones cost ₵15 each making them the cheapest GSM mobile phones offered by any telecommunications company in Ghana.
These come as an addition to the plethora of moderately priced products and services introduced to the market by MTN.
The Sales and Distribution Executive of MTN Ghana, Mr. Ebenezer Asante also outlined additional benefits attached to the new phones. According to Mr Asante, even though the phones are the lowest priced ever offered by any telecoms operator, MTN has made it even better by adding a number of exciting offers.
The new G1157 and S308 come with an MTN Sim card pre-loaded with ₵1.00 worth of MTN credit. Subscribers also get 20 free SMS and up to ₵2.00 bonus airtime depending on usage in the first month. There is also an amazing 300% bonus on first recharge in the third month of usage.
Subscribers who buy this phone also get to enjoy the unique call plans which equally make it possible for them, irrespective of their call background to benefit from MTN’s reduced tariffs. Depending on the plan chosen, subscribers enjoy up to 7.5 pesewas per minute or can enjoy up to 99% discount on MTN Zone.
Recently, MTN also introduced the MTN Fonm@il service which is another first in the market and allows all MTN subscribers to receive email on their mobile phones directly irrespective of the kind of phone they use. This service comes with a free subscription fee till December and subscribers can visit any MTN Service Center or visit htt://fonmail.mtn.com.gh to register.
