MTN Ghana has announced the launch of Gameworld, a gaming portal that offers a diverse and exciting catalogue of over 900 high-quality premium games from Gameloft Selection, Disney, SEGA and Namco.
Being the first of its kind, the game portal promises to redefine entertainment for customers, offering an immersive gaming experience with exclusive features like tournaments and e-sports events.
Customers can subscribe to the service by visiting https://gameworld.mtn.com.gh.
Dario Bianchi Chief Digital Officer at MTN Ghana expressed excitement at the launch of Gameworld.
He said, “In line with our focus to be ‘Africa’s gateway to digital services to better African lives and lived experiences’, MTN continues to invest in enhanced and innovative digital platforms, solutions, and services. We remain committed to building the largest and the most valuable platform business with a key focus on Africa’.
“Our customers remain our utmost priority, and the launch of Gameworld creates a platform for players to connect, share experiences, build a community and most importantly opens up new revenue streams for the youth”, he added.
The launch of Gameworld follows the maiden Gaming Conference organised by MTN in 2019 that brought together seasoned professionals in the gaming industry from across the world to discuss measures Ghana could put in place to improve smartphone penetration and other factors to support the gaming market to grow and help to boost the socio-economic development.
Gameworld has an extensive game library, seamless user experience, and exclusive in-game content for everyone. Subscription comes at a charge of GHS 1.00 per day.
Customers can go to ‘Settings’ on the game portal or visit MTN Content Manager on myMTN or dial *175# to cancel their subscription.
MTN says it is excited about the opportunities and experiences that Gameworld Portal will bring to Ghana’s gaming industry.
