Wa Rockets produced an efficient rear guard action to knock Ghana Premier League leaders Wa All Stars out of the MTN FA Cup.
The Wa derby produced only one goal and it went the way of the second tier side after Benson Akosah’s 14th minute strike.
The midfielder scored the match winner with a lovely strike from distance after hespotted goalkeeper Eugene Adjah Sojah off his line.
Things went from bad to worse when All Stars midfielder Wahidu Mumuni was taken off after a suspected hard break.
All Stars huffed and puffed to restore parity but their efforts were to no avail.
Wa Rockets will face the winner of the Asante Kotoko-Bechem United clash to be played at the Baba Yara stadium.
