Gold Stars, who have not played a competitive game since the Ghana Premier League went on break, two weeks ago, seemed far from their clinical best, with the Division One side taking advantage to force penalties, after the game ended goalless after 90 minutes.
Attram Devisser clinched the famous victory, winning 4-3 in the penalty shootout.
Attram Devisser central midfielder, Apokum Richmond, claimed the man of the match award.
2021 Champions, Hearts of Oak, will be up against Division One side Golden Kicks, with Asante Kotoko’s game against Secondi Eleven Wise has been postponed.
