MTN Ghana on Monday began activities to celebrate its customers and to rededicate its services to them during the 2010 Customer Service Week.
A statement released by the telecommunications company in Accra said the week-long celebration is on the theme: “A Tradition of Service: Our Customers; Our Pride.”
The statement said the week would focus on appreciating MTN customers for their loyalty, highlighting the importance of customer service and boosting morale, motivation and team work among MTN Customer Care Team.
Among activities lined up for the week are the official launch, a donation to the Autim Centre, Customer care education on SIM registration and Mobile Money registration at the Central Business District, a Customers’ Day set aside to reward customers and a thanksgiving service.
The statement said the climax would be a Customer Care Staff Awards ceremony during which outstanding customer care Staff who had demonstrated the highest level of service to customers with professionalism would be acknowledged at a staff happy hour programme.
The MTN Customer Service week is held annually to reinforce the MTN belief that its customers are at the centre of its success story and express their commitment to continuously show appreciation to them for making the number one mobile telecommunications company in Ghana.
The Acting Customer Relations Executive of MTN, Mr Laurence Akosen expressed excitement at the celebration of this year’s customer service week and said it would provide another opportunity to exhibit MTN’s leadership in customer care in the telecommunications industry through efficient and professional customer delivery.
