The Detty Rave Festival has once again proved itself as a cornerstone of African music, delivering an unforgettable night of pulsating beats, electrifying performances, and high-energy vibes. Hosted in Accra last week, the sixth edition of the festival attracted tens of thousands of music lovers, artists, and influencers from across the globe.
Founded by Afrobeats superstar Mr Eazi, Detty Rave celebrates African dance music in all its glory. This year’s festival opened with an energetic performance by BellaWorldwide and closed with a spectacular set by Choplife Soundsystem, the DJ collective led by Mr Eazi and DJ Edu.
Star-Studded Line-Up and Dynamic Performances
The festival was a dazzling showcase of talent, featuring enthralling performances by top DJs and artists. Highlights included sets by DJ Tunez (Wizkid’s official DJ), Shifa Ligero, Smallgod, Chichi DJ, Kelvin DJ, and surprise appearances by international superstars such as Donaeo, Tekno, King Promise, Adekunle Gold, Kweku Smoke, Arajay, BlaqBonez, and Young John.
A Feast for the Senses
This year’s edition featured cutting-edge light shows, immersive stage designs, and spectacular visual effects, creating a vibrant, intergalactic atmosphere that captured the essence of the festival's theme, Red and White Noise.
Detty Rave’s signature DJ-led format continues to break boundaries, uniting ravers from diverse backgrounds in a shared celebration of African dance culture. Beyond the music, the event offered a full cultural experience, with interactive installations, art showcases, culinary delights, and pop-up creative spaces. Attendees engaged in artisan markets, live art demonstrations, and dance workshops, all of which highlighted the richness and diversity of African culture.
