The Member of Parliament for Gomoa East, Mr. Sam Quarm, has donated 100 bags of cement for the infrastructure development of the Gomoa-Panfokrom Women's Training Institute.
The Management of the Ghana Cement Manufacturing Company (GHACEM) also presented 80 bags of cement to the Institute.
Mrs. Rebecca Ampah-Korsah, Headmistress of the Institute, speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Panfokrom last Wednesday, expressed appreciation to Mr. Quarm and GHACEM for the donation and gave the assurance that the cement would be properly utilized.
Mrs. Ampah-Korsah also commended the Government and the Gomoa District Assembly for completing a new dormitory for the school and stated that with the facility would increase the student-intake by over 200.
She extended her appeal to the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Assembly to contribute towards the expansion of the institute. Meanwhile, Mrs. Ampah-Korsah also appealed to past students, well wishers, chiefs and other personalities from the Central Region to participate in the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Institute scheduled for the 27th of this month at Panfokrom.
